Trinidad Ropeworks Ltd was established in 1965 with the primary objective of manufacturing synthetic and natural fibre three strand ropes for the local marine, offshore, and industrial markets.

Ropes produced at Trinidad Ropes were to be used in critical applications such as load lifting, mooring of vessels, towing lines and in various oilfield applications. As such, it was essential that established safety standards were met by the setting of exact specifications for our products. Today, thirty odd years since our inception, we have built up a reputation for quality products upon which people can rely to perform as intended. In fact, our levels of customer satisfaction are sufficiently high that we have maintained many of our original customers even today.

Our product range today includes a variety of ropes, cordage and plastic garbage bags manufactured in-house, and we also distribute various imported ropes for specialty applicaitons. In addititon, we manufacture and supply SuperMesh, a fibrillated polypropylene fibre used for concrete reinforcement.

Trinidad Ropes now exports 60 % of total production to over 15 countries within the Caribbean, South and Central America. Our products are used in many areas, including Supermarkets, Hardware, Oilfield & Heavy industries, Shipping, Agriculture, and general purpose Household use.

ISO 9002 was implemented 4 years ago in an effort to further guarantee that our quality and standards would be second to none, and maintain our competitive edge, by providing a quality product at competitive prices.
